Cookie notice
How markbloomwave.pro stores consent and loads maps. Last updated 2026-08-12.
Overview
We use a small first-party cookie and localStorage backup to remember your cookie choices for about six months. No advertising trackers run on this site. Analytics cookies stay off unless you enable them in the customise panel. This page satisfies transparency expectations for Singapore visitors and documents map behaviour on every content page.
Why cookies appear at all
Without storage, we would ask for consent on every page load. Recording your choice once respects your time and keeps the banner from obscuring content repeatedly. Essential storage is limited to that purpose plus security tokens if hosting requires them.
Essential storage
Essential storage records consent itself so the banner does not reappear on every page. It cannot be disabled while using the site because without it we cannot honour your choice. Essential cookies do not track browsing across other websites.
Functional / Maps
Google Maps appears on every content page to show our Blair Road studio location. When you reject functional cookies, maps may show a placeholder until you press "Load map" or change preferences via Manage cookies. Google may process data when maps load; see Google's privacy policy for details. We chose embeds without API keys to reduce complexity; functionality still depends on Google servers.
Analytics
We do not deploy third-party analytics by default. If enabled in future, this page will list exact tools, purposes, and retention before they activate. Current builds keep analytics off unless you opt in through the customise panel.
Storage table
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sg_studio_consent | Cookie | Stores JSON consent preferences including essential, functional, analytics flags and timestamp | ~180 days |
| cookie_consent_v1 | localStorage | Backup consent record if cookies are cleared partially | Until cleared manually |
JSON structure
The consent cookie encodes a URL-encoded JSON object with keys: essential (always true), functional (boolean), analytics (boolean), ts (ISO timestamp in Singapore context), v (version). Malformed values are ignored and the banner reappears so you can choose again.
Managing choices
Use the cookie banner on first visit: Accept all, Reject all, or Customise. Return here anytime and press to reopen the panel. Changes overwrite prior values immediately and sync to localStorage backup.
Reject-all map behaviour
When functional storage is off, map iframes may not load until you interact with a Load map control. This avoids sending data to Google without permission. Accepting functional cookies loads maps normally on subsequent pages during the consent period.
Browser controls
You can delete cookies in browser settings. Clearing essential consent will show the banner again. Private browsing modes may discard storage sooner depending on your browser vendor.
Do Not Track
We do not respond to DNT signals separately because we do not run cross-site analytics trackers. Your explicit panel choice controls optional categories.
Updates to this notice
If we add categories or processors, we will update this page and may reset consent so you can decide again.

Version history
Version 1 published 2026-08-12. Changes will increment version in stored consent JSON when categories change materially.
Relationship to Privacy
Personal data processed via cookies is also described in Privacy. In case of conflict on data topics, Privacy controls.
Testing your choices
After saving preferences, reload any content page. The banner should remain hidden. Open Manage cookies to confirm toggles match your selection. Clear site data to simulate a first visit during QA.
Maps on legal pages
Even legal pages include a compact map embed per studio policy. Functional consent applies the same way as elsewhere.
Panel behaviour
The customise panel uses button toggles rather than native checkboxes for consistency across browsers. Essential category remains locked on. Save writes immediately to cookie and localStorage.
Keyboard access
Banner and panel controls are reachable by keyboard with visible focus outlines defined in site CSS.
Retention refresh
Each save resets the six-month retention clock for sg_studio_consent. Clearing browser data removes both cookie and backup storage.
Third-party fonts
Fonts may load from Google Fonts without additional cookies in many browsers. Network requests are disclosed for transparency; they are not used for advertising profiles on this site.
Logging
Consent actions are not shipped to external analytics. Debugging logs stay local to your browser console only during development builds.
Children
Cookie choices should be set by adults managing business browsers. We do not target children.
Changes to categories
If new optional categories are introduced, version v in JSON increments and banner may reappear once so you can decide afresh.
Support browsers
Consent storage relies on standard cookie and localStorage APIs available in current evergreen browsers. Legacy browsers may fall back to showing the banner each visit.
Audit
We periodically review this notice against site behaviour to ensure descriptions remain accurate after deploys.
Copy per site
Cookie banner sentences are unique to MarkBloom Wave and differ from other studios we operate independently.
Security attributes
Consent cookies use SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS deployments as implemented in main.js.
Prefers-reduced-motion
Banner animations respect reduced-motion preferences defined in site CSS and JavaScript.
Cross-page consistency
Consent state applies across all markbloomwave.pro pages sharing the same registrable domain.
